Environmental Conservation Program

UFM wholly and positively responds to SDG 15, and participates in nature and conservation awareness by actively involving rural communities especially youth and women in safeguarding eco-systems and promoting sustainable use of natural resources in their communities. Most rural communities especially in Musanze and Burera are dominantly using either firewood or charcoal as a source of energy for cooking or food preparation, and this has remained a major danger to the environment inform of deforestation and pollution.
